Shadora Chambers is a Toronto based creative professional specializing in the areas of comedic screenwriting, producing and photography, who is known for her comedic approach to film making. Shadora, a hard working and motivated young woman, has developed her skills to proficiency, over the last 8 years of video making. She always had a love for film and television growing up, often using it as a source of escapism, comedy quickly became her favourite genre of entertainment.
This passionate film maker started at a very young age. In the eighth grade she was inspired by a music video her friends created. She then realized, for the first time, that anyone with access to a camera and windows movie maker could make videos. She proceeded to make YouTube, event highlight, and music videos as personal projects. She also made videos as volunteer work for her church. In her senior year of high school, she, for the first time directed a project with a crew. She made a mocumentary that won her early acceptance at York University’s film program. Throughout her university career, she has directed over 6 short films and crewed on over 30 short films and documentaries, many of them award winning. During her 4 years in film school, she has familiarized herself with numerous positions, however, she has focused on, and developed proficiency, in the areas of screenwriting, directing and behind the scenes photography. She has experience working not only, on feature film and TV show sets, but also, documentaries, short films, and music videos.
With 2.7 million vine loops and a current collective audience of over 10,000 followers, it goes without saying, Shadora has extensive knowledge in the area of making social media content. The filmmaker and YouTuber shares her personal life, and creative processes on her vlog channel, which has gathered her over 80,000 views. Shadora, has made appearances on CP24, Global News, City TV, Ryerson’s “The Eyeopener” paper and 4YE’s talk show, “Groupchat.”
Recently graduated from Ryerson University’s film studies program, Shadora is now an emerging filmmaker who is pursuing working experience in Toronto’s film industry while writing and directing passion projects. In her spare time Shadora watches films and reads screenplays. She is constantly refining her skills and looking for new ways to express herself through her art. Currently, she is working in Toronto’s film and television industry and is working on her writing on the weekends.
